Commercial Lead (Fractional)

Wavely Diagnostics is expanding access to pediatric care via a portfolio of phone-based medical diagnostics. We are at the forefront of the new digital diagnostics industry, and your work will help shape this emerging space. Our first product is an app that can detect fluid in the middle ear, reducing barriers to accurately diagnosing ear infections. We are a fast-paced, very early startup and have recently launched commercially.

We are looking for the right Commercial Lead to work closely with WavelyDx's CEO and Director of Operations to drive significant adoption and build a profitable business. The key performance metric will be adoption, i.e. number of users derived from each customer and frequency of use. WavelyDx is pursuing a B2B commercialization strategy, selling both directly and via partners to providers, healthcare system, payors (particularly with fully-owned in-house providers), and virtual care platforms. All of these segments are motivated to invest in tools that enable them to drive more virtual care utilization due to the positive impact of doing so on their bottom lines. Since our largest customers with the strongest value propositions are payors, candidates should have deep relationships and expertise selling to payors and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of implementing new products within payors. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate specific experience with early commercialization (and beyond).

This role is currently envisioned as fractional, between 10 and 20 hours per week. Successful execution may lead to full time employment in a senior leadership role if desired. Compensation approach will ensure time is covered with additional upside from driving significant levels of engagement with the WavelyDx platform.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Define economic and clinical value propositions for target customer segments

  • Establish a “land and expand” selling and buying process with target customer segments

  • Structure contracts with a clear pricing model that accelerates adoption while driving profitability for WavelyDx

  • Identify specific target customers within each segment

  • Leverage personal network of thought leaders and potential partners to identify commercial opportunities for Wavely and leverage personal network to initiate and maintain conversations with target customers

  • Ensure company has appropriate collateral to support commercialization efforts

  • Evolve WavelyDx’s commercialization strategy based on market feedback

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience selling to providers, provider systems, payors and/or virtual care platforms

  • 10+ years of experience in startups successfully executing on early commercialization

  • Established, deep relationships within the target segments

  • Deep desire to collaborate with WavelyDx team members

  • Proven track record of delivering successful commercialization strategies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
